I just got my Bryston BDP-2 today in the mail (thanks Jerry) to go along with my Calyx Femto DAC. I don't have very many hi res files yet but the included Memory Stick has some very nice tunes to demo the combo. I am impressed by the increased air around the instruments and more focused soundstage. Drums sound more realistic with better decay and vocals have that natural tone I was looking for. Digital in my system has never sounded better.:woot:The next thing is to attach the BDP-2 to my network and start ripping my cd library. The fun has just begun.

I heard that Calyx Femto is a great DAC. Is it new?

I bought it used on consignment from the same dealer that I bought my Teac UD-503 from. I really like the Calyx DAC, it is very clear but not harsh. It is dynamic and detailed yet smooth sounding. It is also very quiet which enhances the dynamics. A natural, balanced sound. And with the Bryston instead of the Oppo (transport) music is even more detailed and clear. I think the Calyx Femto and Bryston BDP-2 are a very good combination.
