Bryston BDP-1 Error

Hi All, I just got back from vacation and after turning on my system (which was completely unplugged from the wall) my Bryston BDP-1 is getting an error. I've tried disconnecting the hard drive and removing and reinserting the power cable but still no change. Anyone know anything about this one?

• Error 03: No Analog Power Supply

• Error 04: Analog Power Supply Too Low

• Error 05: Analog Power Supply Too high

• Error 09: System Board not responding.
 
Good luck. Hope it gets resolved quick. I bought another BDP1 for my surround sound system so that I would have a spare in case one breaks.
 
I've spoken to Bryston support and they said it was probably a blown fuse, so I opened it up and I do believe this to be correct. But two trips to Radio Shack later and I don't have the right fuse. The first one we got is giving Error 04. The second one I went there to get was out of stock, but now I think that one was probably wrong too. James, do you know exactly which fuse I need? I can tell I need a 500mA 250V, but should it be slo blo or something else?

Well, I haven't been able to get hold of anyone since my first call after an email yesterday and a phone call/voicemail this morning. What I can say is that while I don't have the same part number, I have a fuse with the same specs and they blow as soon as I plug in the power cord. Should I pursue getting a the proper part number or should any fuse with the right specs (half amp, 250v) work? Does this indicate an issue with the power supply?

Despite being the proper specs, the new fuse looks different than the original. The original has a thick/ribbed filament on the inside, the new one has a very very thing one with a little bubble in the middle...
 
I think your trying the wrong fuse . I use a 1/2amp 250v slo blo fuse in my snappers, and I'm looking at one now and it has the ribbed thick filament not the other you mentioned.
I was sold the wrong one as well when I blew one. And went back with the blown fuse and made them search for the right one. I got a pack of 5. If you don't find one send me an addy I will send you one.
On btw manley answered the phone first call and walked me through every step until it was working properly. I'm was hoping bryston did that for you?
 
If the correct size fuse is blowing then there is a problem causing to much current to flow. Get a RMA and return it to Bryston for repair. Sometimes things break.
 
I brought it to my dealer on 9/14 so they could look at it and send it in if needed. Hopefully it won't be too much longer...
