With cold weather approaching(I hate it)going outside for a walk is not an option for me. I'm considering buying a Bowflex treadclimber specifically the TC10 model.

If anyone has any experience with the treadclimber in general, comments and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to the treadclimber site:

Looks cool. I use an elliptical and treadmill. I wish I had a stationary bike instead of the treadmill.

I'd like to find someone with personal experience of the Treadclimber to see if it's worth it.

Me too. Bowflex does not have any retail stores so the try before you buy is not an option. They do offer a 6 week buy-back guarantee if the consumer is not satisfied.

Yes, but it's probably as bad a shipping a huge speaker back to the company. Ugh!

Like most equipment of this nature, most new purchases are used a few times, then abandoned and later sold or donated. Better to buy it used.

Have you ever had any experience with the treadclimber tc10??????? That's the question I asked.

I can't comment on this item but I do own one of the original Bowflex weight lifting units that can also be used as a rower. I do my cardio on an older Nordic Track Elite.

Good luck.

OK, I haven't, but here are some folks who did: Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Bowflex TreadClimber TC5

Among the statements by users:
"Then, we bought a TC5...worst piece of equipment EVER! Very difficult to put together, extremely hard to workout on, hard on joints & legs, getting to 'pace' is nearly impossible and the treads keep moving to the sides and fraying. We called customer service & they told us that we would get used to the 'pace' (not in this lifetime) and we were also told that the treads moving were due to us being 'right footed' (what a ridiculous excuse)!

Do not waste your money on this machine; you'll just end up returning it (at a cost of nearly $300)!"

Many other comments from people with experience! Bottom line, I would not buy it!

I asked YOU if YOU had any experience with the tc10 and your response was to post a negative review about the MODEL TC5. I just went through 10 pages of reviews for the TC10 on the treadclimber website and not one of them was less than 4 stars. In fact I'll say 85% of the reviews were 5 stars. All of these reviews were dated this year(2013)

I'm not trying to start an argument here and if I sounded that way I apologize. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. As far as reviews go, sometimes I take them with a grain of salt. The only way to be sure is to actually try out the product in question. Unfortunately Bowflex treadclimber does not have any retail stores. If they did, I would most certainly try before I buy.

I do believe that I'm going to give the TC10 a try and if it doesn't work for me I'll have 6 weeks to return it for a full refund.
