Boulder's 2120 DAC release

Another possibility is that an HDMI input could support direct DSD decoding from SACDs, like Bryston's BDA-3 DAC does. However it retails for just $3,495 with four HDMI inputs and an HDMI output standard!

Wow, that puts things in price perspective.

I wonder if it will handle MQA or if they have any plans for handling MQA with an upgrade in the future?

If this is the same DAC that Boulder had at RMAF and CES this last year it sounds great. Both times it was amazing. (I just don't remember the model number but the price is in the same ballpark.)

Does HDMI and iS2 used the same physical connector? Is there a protocol that has been agreed to in the industry for these connections?

Yes - both look like HDMI. I am curious to see is it really HDMI (which is video) or i2S?
