Bookshelf speaker advice needed please.....

I'm currently looking for a nice set of quality bookshelf speakers in the $1,500-$2,000 price range. So far my front runners are Dynaudio excite X18's, ATC SMC11's, or ProAc studio 118's. I have only heard the dynaudio in person and thought they were very nice. If anyone one has any experience with this speakers your input would be much appreciated, or if you had any other suggestions. I will be running them with a Peachtree Audio Nova300 integrated amplifier, 300 watts per channel @8 ohms, so power is not an issue. Thank you in advance.
 
Trenner & Friedel ART will better all of the above.

Aluminum mid/woofer with Scanspeak Revelator tweeter.

My Viva distributor carries the line. He's big on the "RA" paired with Viva.

I've read some good things about these speakers, sure would like to hear a pair. But are not these around $3500 a pair and the OP has a range up to $2000
 
The ATC are very good, a lively presentation after their studio monitor heritage. I'd think a good match with the Peachtree. Nice dynamics and voiced for good midrange.

I really like Dynaudio speakers, the 18's may have an edge in bass quantity.

KEF's LS50 or R300 are both possibilities. To my ears the LS50 is a bit more extended and lively where the R300 is a bit warmer by comparison.

I commented in order of my personal preference, I have no experience with Proac or the other brand mentioned.

You might also explore SVS, for $1500.00 you could get a sub/sat set up. I can vouch they make great subs but haven't heard the monitors yet.

If you could use a tower in your price the new Revel Concerto is impressive IMO, • Revel Concerta2 F36 Floorstanding Speaker , I heard a set of these driven by a Cary SLY-80, good sound.

Mike, I didn't know you carry T&F. I have the Art's and they are fabulous.

Another great monitor I'm sorry I sold is the Usher BE-718 either with the beryllium or diamond tweeter. They like lots of power, which you have with your Peachtree. Around $1,400 for a nice used pair.

For lower power amps in this price range, I'd highly recommend Reference 3A De Capo BE's, another speaker I regret selling. Around $2,000 used.

Finally, the Evolution Acoustics MMicro One's are terrific speakers you can get for around $2,000 used.

The Dynaudios are pretty good! But ELAC has some very good speakers in or even below that price range.
Everybody's talking about the new Andrew Jones designed lines, but the stuff designed in Germany is tops as well!
My favourite is the tiny ELAC BS 403.

As the website says, "Plays like a big one"! The tweeter is super smooth, and it has incredible bass for its size. Because the port fires below, it can be placed near/close to walls.
It's $1000 in gloss black/white, and $2000 in real wood veneers.
And though not quite ready yet, Andrew Jones is coming up with a more upmarket line:

The bookshelf for this line is expected to be at $2500.

That might be correct, guess I might get better pricing in Europe.

In the 2K range the Harbeth P3ESRs are still very good.

At that price point and with your integrated amp, the KEF R300 would be a great choice.

Tannoy is also in the process of updating the Definition line, and as such, the current models are on special pricing. The DC8 is normally $3600 a pair, but can be had in your price range (but the stock on these is somewhat low and going fast).
