Best Monitors under $10,000

High Emotion Audio has monitor speakers and a tweeter that has speed not even horns can match. It been the best speaker I have heard so far.

Another one would be Quested Studio monitors setup for 2 channel, they are transparent but at the same time very musical and non fatiguing.

The above are non mainstream but an alternative choice.

I have been very happy with my Music Culture RL21's. These were designed by Wolfgang Meletzky of MBL fame and are built in their facilities in Berlin (just around the corner from MBL).

Great speaker in the mid $4k range and with stand running in the $600-$800 range.

After hearing a pair of Wilson Audio Sabrinas today (at a dealer), I appreciate my DALI Epicon 2s much more! The Sabrinas sounded very hollow and lacked detail. (Yes, I know they are not monitors...)

The Sopra 1s sounded great at RMAF last year. They were being driven by Naim gear.

I think (but not sure) that I was one of the first US dealers for Dali in the early 80's when they were selling their speakers direct to clients but were just starting to test the retail market here. I looked forward to unpacking their shipments more than any other line I carried at the time. They were coming out with a lot of different models and you could order custom. The days of AR Tables, Rotel Integrated Amps and Dali Speakers. The whole system was going out the door for $1800 retail. Lots of great monitors over the years. Price tag wise? Not sure cause the history of monitors is so rich. For some reason I'm kind of stuck on the monitor sound of around 1983-93. There were some great driver factories back then that would be poo pooed now, but I always thought those particular stamped baskets were some of the most musical 5.25, 6.5, and 8" ever made.
