Hello everybody

I´m thinking on purchasing a new cartridge for my turntable and I´m very interested in Hana EL.

The problem is that I do not know if this cartridge is suitable.

My turntable is the iconic Lenco L-75 in really mint condition and with original tonearm.

The thing is that the arm is really heavy so I´m not sure if the Hana EL will be a good decision considering the compliance of the tonearm.

I´ve been reading some post in the website "Lenco Heaven" and some folks from there indicates that even though Hana EL is an extremely good cartridge the best selection considering the tonearm of my Lenco L75 is the Denon DL-103R.

I´m really very impressed with Hana cause a lot of friends from here Buenos Aires use them in their turnatable (Project, Sansui) but really I do not know if it will be a good selection for my Lenco or not.

Please be so kind to give me your comments and please do not hesitate to contact me should you need further information from my side.

Find some photos of the Lenco L.75

The stock Leno L75 has an arm effective mass of 23 grams. That’s a high mass arm. I can’t find any info on the EL compliance, if you can find that I can calculate the arm resonant frequency for you. Let’s say the EL compliance is a normal 10 x 10-6 cm/dyn then the resonant frequency of the combo would be 8 Hz which is still OK.

Lenco makes a lighter head shell for that arm which allows the use of standard compliance carts.

The DL-103 is a low compliance cart that will work fine
