For those of you that like unboxing pics, here's the new Bel Canto Black EX integrated amp. We have the first one in Canada. 250W per channel into 8 ohms, 500W into 4 ohms. Ethernet streaming, variety of digital inputs, 2 analogue inputs plus programmable phono input and headphone output. PCM, DSD and full MQA. Tilt control, bass management and more. This piece is feature packed. Only a day on it so far, but extremely impressive. Probably the best bass I've had with power, control and refinement as well. It will be interesting to see how it breaks in. Seems like you get a big chunk of the performance of the considerably more expensive Bel Canto Black ACI 600 for $10K USD less. It retails for $14,990 USD ($19,500 CAD). We've been dealing with Bel Canto for many years and their Black components are just in a completely different league than what they've done in the past.

They use Ncore for their amplification. It's not stock though. They do modifications to the Ncore module.

The DAC3.5 is a nice piece, but they've really stepped into the big leagues with the Black series.

yes , took me long enough to afford the 3.5 so the black might be out of my league , just popped a humble bel canto pre 3vbs into a system and its not bad for the money .

Yes, the PRe3 is nice for the money and has a really low noise floor as is common with Bel Canto products.
