Can anyone share opinions on how Bel Canto 3.5 dac compared with AMR , Weiss , Esoteric, Meitner, Chord or other dac maximum 10k € ?

I had a Mytek DSD, (to clinical to my ears so I went to Bel Canto but if you want to use usb, you need to purchase a S/PDIF to USB convertor. Still didn't make that much different between my old REGA Saturn or my OPPO 95 player, so I went to ExaSound mkii , very nice dac highly recommend not to mention the Chord HD or the new HUGO. The BelCanto to me was pretty neutral did PCM rather nicely which means to me it didn't color the sound, but I was looking for a DSD capable dac.

I just wanted to add, try out the little $895.00 Teac UD501 pretty amazing little dac and it does DSD. I've been through a few dacs and these things are coming out every quarter at all price points. Try to listen to all price points before you buy. My next visit to DAC land will be in the form of a Player /Streamer like a Lumin or a modified Modwright or RedWine Sony HAP-Z1ES.

Thanks Socfan12 .
I am not interested a DSD dac . My music is WAV(PCM) and FLAC . I'm looking for a neutral and natural dac .I use SPDIF connection from my sound card RME 9632 .

Welcome to AS hersorin. I have the 3.5vb MKII. I very much enjoy the DAC as it's ability to play very pleasing and allowing the music to set the stage with graceful resualts. I have heard many very expensive DACs but I still find this one more to my tast.

I can also attest to the very musical and engaging performance level of the BC 3.5 MkII DAC, particularly with the optional VBS power supply and optional upgraded power cable. It is superb with PCM material, and in fact the only reason that I decided to move on was to gain DSD support. The BC is that good, it's hard to beat if you don't need DSD decoding unless you spend significantly more money to better it.
