Beck fans?

Gentlemen, I received this album in the mail on Tuesday. It hasn't left my CD player since. In my opinion, this one is extremely special. Sea Change was a top ten album for me, and this one may take it's place. If you haven't already done so, get this album NOW!

Is that CD stuck in your CD player ? :P

See, another benefit to ripping everything! :)

This recording has gotten more plays in a shorter time than any recording I've bought in years. (HD Tracks download version)
Blackbird Chain, my favorite.

Might be an acquired taste, but very highly recommended not withstanding the mish-mosh of formats/qualities/DR etc. I dare say in this case the music transcends the medium used for replay.

This morning I ordered the LP off of Beck's website which came with an instant download (MP3) of the album. I have to say that I'm very disappointed with the quality of the included rip; it's really compressed and very muddy sounding, even for a MP3. Has anyone who bought the LP and then downloaded the MP3 version with the included coupon in the album experienced the same thing? I'm hoping that the download from the coupon is a little better than the instant I have now otherwise I'm going to have to grab the CD to do a proper rip.

Edit: Never mind, Bob's link above to the Computer Audiophile answered my question.
