BAT VK-3500 Integrated Amplifier

I’m still intrigued by BAT gear but I’m just so happy with my Luxman.

That's understandable Joe. BAT and Luxman, particularly your 595, have a very different DNA. I would probably take the musicality and hint of warmth of the 595 over the BAT too - assuming the speakers were easy to drive.

Interesting comment on the Luxman, considering it is known that Luxman double down to 60+60 at 4 ohms at a very under valued rating with this amp & 80'000 pico farads none the less....

Love my BAT REX 2 Preamp … Now I want to hear the REX 3! All I can say is that I was on the preamp merry go round until I got my hands on the REX 2. Had the Levinson No 523, Ref 52, ARC Ref 6, ARC Ref10 (if only for a long weekend) and while all were very good at what they did … in my system I preferred the sound of the BAT REX 2. The Ref 10 actually was very similar in many ways but the REX was slightly warmer which in my system was a better match. With a different setup I could easily have preferred the Ref 10. Both are awesome! BAT makes some great gear and i’m surprised its not talked about more often. Many of my friends use their phone preamps which are awesome also!

I just noticed the price of the BAT products, I’m not surprised it’s not mentioned often as it’s out of the reach of many.

I have one here. It's very good. If you need power to drive tougher speakers it's great and can power through quite a bit.

But to your point it's in a sea of tough competition at the price points.

I think BAT gear is priced comparably with other manufacturers in similar categories. Not sure why BAT gets no love, maybe the utilitarian ergonomics? Every BAT piece I have sounds very good.

I never heard BAT amps myself, although I’m sure they sound amazing.
I think they sound very good for sure. It's more limiting in tube rolling due to the power tubes (the integrated). You are limited to really only being able to mess with the 6SN7's.
