Damn Paul. I always wanted to hear Bakoon. Please keep us updated.

I had the Bakoon 13r on loan for a week or so, powering my Avantgarde speakers. My thoughts were that it sounded pretty good but I didn't like the rear panel sockets (should be “paired") and I didn't like the immense heat it generated. All things considered, I preferred alternative amps from the dozen I home trailed. I’m afraid its cuteness didn’t make it a winner in my book.

Peter

Are there other folks that have tried this? I don’t mind “downsizing” on electronics and going a little more up the ladder on high efficiency drivers.

Thanks Mike. As mentioned by Peter, the footprint makes it attractive (didnt suit his need) but also the circuitry that seems to be written as an interesting feature.

Assuming these are a form of class D amplification but not Putzey influenced?

I emailed enleum on the west coast to see if I can arrange a home demo since, if applicable, return shipping on something like this wont be too big a deal. :)

Correct, they are not Class D.

Judging by the ferocious temperature the 13r reaches, I'd say definitely not Class D, more like Class A. Something to be avoided in these days of responsibility and concern for the Environment - and one's electricity bill! Peter

I enjoying them every time I power them on. Lovely sound. One of the best buy in my audio journey. Pair them with a nice DAC and turntable. You done :)

They are Class AB however they do sounds like a class A more.

They have a 65w version coming. We think these will be great with AG and Fyne.

Thanks for sharing info gents. Is the 41 and 51R ‘older’ amps/circuitry? I’m guessing maybe the 41 is the oldest with the ‘R’ moniker?

Lol! I can feel your emotion towards these, Peter :) But I do appreciate sharing your experience with them. I was thinking of putting these in a covered shelf so the heat comment is a concern.

Contemplating on this and a pass int-25….hmmm:skeptical:

Thanks for the feedback - yah a lot of popularity with these and AVG!! Trying to find other great pairings…. Can the 13Rs be pushed To 72db + for a couple of hours?

No issues at all. I usually listen to 75-80 db
