How did this room sound?

...We also are introducing new lower priced Hydra power conditioners based on the Triton and Denali technologies. The Hydra Delta is a six outlet and will retail for $1995 and the Alpha is a 12 outlet unit that will retail for $3500.

Can you please elaborate on this aspect. How do the new Hydra models compare with Denali (features and performance)? When will they be shipping?

As always, the whole show at the click of a mouse, minus sound. Thank you so much for all the pics and coverage. These shows must be overwhelming. It sure makes trying to figure out what to buy next difficult to say the least since there is just way too much good looking and sounding gear available.

I also gathered from some of the pics as well as what Mike said, many rooms actually used real music to demo, not just a single instrument or vocal track. Kudos for that!

A side question, not sure which thread it was in, but someone mentioned some speakers from Slovenia I think, hand made wood cabinets with rounded front baffles. Does anyone remember the name of the company?

Excellent coverage Mike and others. I haven't seen such great coverage and comentary elsewhere. This is where AS differentiates from others :coolyeah:

Re: Axpona 2019 Official Pics & Commentary Thread

I made sure I went to that room as I thought I wanted a pair after watching all the youtube reviews. The sound to my ears came across as un-dynamic...but that may be the amp they are
paired with or perhaps the demo was being run at a pretty low volume. I spoke with Mads and he stated even the Zero Fidelity review guy that helped set them up said they seemed to be under-performing. Maybe it was the hotel environment. I do not recall seeing much in the way of treatments in the Parasound room. Even both Elac rooms seemed better. I want to like these...but then I go back to the fact my EPOS Elan 15s sound so good still and image in my tiny room like crazy and I think why bother.. I guess because these are smaller yet...and so many youtubers talked them up.

Great sound. Best budget system candidate for sure. Speakers are Buchardt.

Awesome photos..I didn't get to visit but maybe half the rooms I wanted to. I just did depart Ohare before flights started getting axed. I took around maybe 40 photos.
My best of show was the Moon stuff with the Sonus Faber speakers. I had no idea I'd like Sonus Faber. As I suspected Focal was very meh. And the million dollar plus VAC/Von Schweikert room
wasn't all that IMHO. 300K speakers, and 100,000+ amps ---who really buys them? Nice to look at more than to listen to I think.

...We are also introducing our Ethernet cables.....

Are the ethernet cables going to be available at custom lengths? Many of us have quite a reach (5m+) to connect their network streamer to a switch or router.

Or is the cable intended between the modem and the router to insulate the local network against any electrical grunge which might arrive from the WAN side?

Re: Axpona 2019 Official Pics & Commentary Thread

Actually the 2-12 inch open baffle servo subs are
$8,000. The 3-12 inch per side are 12,000.
Prices include the servo amps and balanced cables.
