They looked like regular D1.1’s with Jadis electronics.

love the simplicity. What are these? Great coverage, Mike! Wish I could make it this year. Just had hip replacement surgery a week ago. So frustrating that great people and great components are just a hop, skip and a jump from my home and I can’t go!

Did anyone hear the Dynaudio Confidence 20's? Heard they where disappointing, but a lot of times it's the room. I also hear the Dynaudio Evokes where very good for the money....

Heard the new Confidence line in Munich last year and would concur. Little left of the greatness of the past.

Therefore, even more surprisingly, the Evokes did sound great when I heard them at a dealer’s recently. I went to audition an amp, but got interested in the speakers in the process. Even the smallest Evoke 10s did sound like a proper speaker, the new 28 mm Cerotar tweeter appears to work quite well.

$18,000. Includes the latest AKM 4497 DAC. CD ripper, volume control and 8TB of storage included (although, I thought I saw it with 10TB). How did it sound? Superb. No bite. Smooth and musical. Finally got to hear the Velvet sound of the 4497. The big colorful display was gorgeous.
