Did you figure out which speaker it was in the room? Single woofer is the Kismet and double woofer the Liquid. If I remember correctly $4500 and $6500. Both using the Scan Speak BE tweeter. I don't disagree that he made his point with it years ago and it could come down. My point was that the man and equipment shouldn't be summarily dismissed over a stupid sign that has been around for a while with no negative issues. If someone like Matt said something I am sure he would take it down.

Got to hear K1 Grandioso with and without the Grandioso clock. F&$@!! What a difference. Wasn't subtle.

Mike -- Does their pairing with Canton surprise you? They were together last year too, maybe here and/or RMAF. I consider Grandioso to be some kinda elite kit; Canton not so much. But I've never heard them; maybe there is some sonic chemistry? I don't think Canton was in any other room, and this seems to be billed as the Esoteric room, so I'd think Esoteric selected Canton, but I don't know. Are they represented by the same distributor in the US? When you picked up Esoteric, were you asked to consider adding Canton too?

No Canton for me. There isn't any connection other than that they are partnered together. The synergy I think came from the Grandioso Integrated (yummy sounding class A) and the incredible Grandioso K1/Grandioso Clock. I was so glad to get to hear the clock in the system and out comparison (it's a quick external, back to internal switching so you can really hear). Wait, maybe I wish I hadn't heard it.... :)

You would have loved the show. Pass was very well represented. Integrated amps, XS amps, Preamps, Phonostages, all kinds of Pass stuff. Kent and Desmond were also on hand to answer any and all questions (they had a huge display of Pass products in a big room on the 12th floor). I drooled over the X350.8 and had to order one - on the spot!

I've gotten to know Mark this year - super nice guy. Luckily this has also enabled me to get to know Aqua DACs on a few occasions. We shared a table at CanJam NYC and the La Scala into the MZ2 was possibly the nicest I've ever heard headphones sound from that amp. His system at Axpona with the Rethm speakers sounded excellent to my ears. We even did a little after-hours session with the ZOTL10 in place of those nice Linnenberg amps.
 
A couple of my friends and I made small sample of some of the songs we heard at Axpona this year. Some familiar, some new. It's not an all encompassing list by any means. Just ones we found available on Tidal when we remembered to check. Surprisingly enough, not once did I hear Keith Don't Go this year. I was shocked!!

Also similar to earlier post, own several tracks in multiple formats, others I am unfamiliar with - and I don't miss Keith Don't Go either [emoji3].
