The Italians I visited rate the Vivas better than the NAF and Mastersound. I haven't compared but heard the 845 Solistas on the Alexandria X2S2 and they were excellent.

Hard to compare unless in the same room. Also, it's not fair to compare nearly $90,000 of Viva gear, Lumin, cabling, etc. to a built in amp/DAC. The XD is a great sounding, clean, efficient system and musical all in one. The TA offers options to the buyer to use any integrated amp or amp/preamp combo. I'll be honest, I don't find the internal XD amp missing anything. It's very seamless and a great buy when you look at the extra costs for electronics and cables. But the TA ultimately allows people to use that sweet little SET amp they always dreamed of.

Thanks, Mike. Given the room size and the quality of the partnering equipment, was there a reason why the customer did not go for the Uno XD or Duo XD? Other than the fact that the Zero looks great in that room...?

He may still make the swap. I think UNO XD would be insanely good in his room. But the Zero TA's are so darn good already.
