Avantgarde Uno Fino XD

Went by Mike’s this afternoon and sure enough the Uno Finos XD were dialed in beautifully!
It’s amazing how different texture vocals and and specially horns (duh) have.
Now I just have to convince the wife Lol.........showed her the photo of them and she shook her head, marched out of my “ audio room” mumbling something...... (pretty sure it wasn’t Oh goody he wants bigger speakers). (They are same height as the Magico S3MK2 but the bell gives the illusion of being larger)
The Vac purchase cost me a trip taking her to the Holy Land and Petra next month. But hey....I just pretend it’s a real chore to go on these trips! I’m afraid to see what the Avantgardes equivalent trip will be!

Avantgardes really are amazing Larry and I’m sure Mike’s setup is superb.

It’s a wonderful experience hearing my speakers every day. I hope you finally get to bring a pair home.
 
Larry. I echo Joe’s comment if you have followed my thread you would know how many pairs of speakers I went through and as good freind of Audio by Markjones I heard the Magico numerous times and they are great sounding speakers I really loved them especially the S3MKII with Constellation amps. In meantime with Avantgarde is different sound vs Magico. The AG will give you the live sound and huge dynamic sound plus if you pair with sweet tube amp you have , You will get the sweet vocal sound as addition. Seems like you are loving the AG sound a lot so far . Not sure if your wife seen the AG in person ? My wife loves the look as well :) they look stunning in person. Anyway make long story short I’m just all over with Avantgarde and Kondo amp sound. They are truly remarkable. That 27” horns are just completely disappear with first note hits.
 
The problem is that they are amazing as are the S3MK2 specially now that I have honed in my sound with the Vac combo. I’m happy that the synergy translates to either one though.
Truthfully they are such different presentations that at this juncture I’m not sure which one I prefer the most. The hunt is the most fun part of this obsession.

First time heard the Uno Fino XD with VAC. I’m so impressed. Perfect size for small to medium size room.
