Mike, how would you describe the difference in the USB output between the N10 and N100H?
Would agree that the differences between the USB outputs are small, but it's the sound of the total package that matters, and I find the differences between the N100 series and the N10 to be significant at the very least when used with an excellent USB DAC.
There is a local guy who has modified the X100 to accept an LPS http://www.mysoundaffairs.com/collections/power/products/plixir-bdc-for-aurrender. I am sure that it can be done for the N100H too.
Hello everyone, I'm considering the purchase of an Aurender N10. I will be mostly streaming digital FLAC files from my Synology NAS, but what about Apple AirPlay? My wife (who is not an audiophile) will definitely want to stream the Apple Music service through her iPhone/iPad to whatever network music device I purchase. Can the Aurender N10 do this?

If you don't plan to put music files on the Aurender's internal drive(s), why get the N10, with its 4TB of storage? Why not just get the N100?
Or, conversely, why not put your music on the Aurender's internal drives?

Welcome to the forum.
No, the N100 is not available in all black. Aside from that as you point out, the sound quality of the N10 is substantially better, although the N100 outperforms a surprising number of competitors. That's a fair question. Aside from the increased sound quality of the N10 due to things like the improved USB output section and OCXD clock, my entire system (McIntosh preamp/amps, Rega TT) is all black. Whatever else I add to the system has to be available in black as well, and unfortunately I don't think the N100 comes in a black option.
If I do end up on the Aurender side of things (considering Lumin U1 as well), I would very likely use the internal storage of the Aurender exactly as you do.
