I've my new Aurender N10 :D
http://www.aurender.com/page/n10

I use an Chord Epic Streaming cable as Ethernet cable (to connect my Aurender with my Switch)
https://www.chord.co.uk/product/epic-streaming-cable/

As connected my Aurender N10 don't receive IP Address :weird::weird::weird:
But this cable work properly with others devices

If I use an basic Ethernet cable
The Aurender A10 receive an IP Address !!!

What’s happen ?

Thanks for your help

Hi Rikki,

Given that the Aurender does not pass audio information through the Ethernet cable/connection, it is far less important to your system than the USB cable, for instance, where the audio data flow.
I would just use the basic Ethernet cable, and perhaps upgrade your digital interconnect (USB, SPDIF, AES, etc).

cheers,
alex

Weird indeed. No ideas here. Glad my switch is a long way from my N10 to prevent curiosity from getting the best of me ... will stick with my run of the mill Ethernet cable even though I steam a lot of music via N10/Tidal/Ethernet.

Well, looking on the manufacturer's website, they don't even call it an Ethernet cable!

j3brow,

If you want to have fun and experiment, buy an Apple Airport Express, put it on your network, and hook your N10 to that, instead of going through the long cable to the router.
If you're curious enough to try, let me know the results :)

cheers,
alex

Interesting. Might try it out someday. Thanks, I think :)

I'm waiting answer from Chord, but it could be a problem of compatibility :-(
Epic Streaming cable could be used as interconnect but not as Ethernet ........ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
