Audio Video Show Warsaw

Yep, in main system even with tube power supply RoNT ;-) The sound was detailed, but with good body and wide sound stage.

Thanks Marcin for sharing what you heard at the show.

I listened to it a couple weeks ago in Bonn, and was pretty impressed as well. What I’ve understood it’s a Balance-level performer (current top model), offering improvements compared to the Oasis through the redesigned direct drive motor.

I understand the RöNT makes a difference.

That Gryphon system sounded sectacular. A certain TAS writer sat in that room for over an hour and said that it was the best sound under show conditions he have ever heard in is life.

Looks like a “tricked” out pair of Snell Type A speakers from back in the day......circa 1980’s.....

Maybe...But blues and jazz played the best!

Sorry but i suspect those speakers who just do their best with jazz.
Because it is easier since we often talk about only 2 or 3 instruments and because it is in jazz that we find some of the best recordings.

The concept for the Snell Type A's was valid in it's day as I'm sure it would be today with updated drivers and crossover parts. Audio Note UK has made a steady living off of continuing Peter Snell's designs with upgraded parts. The Type A being one of the few that hasn't been copied. Kevin at Revel who worked on a couple of the last versions would be in the ultimate position to carry the concept forward. Albert Von Schweikert made an attempt at it but was hardly successful.

I agree with you!
But if you compare jazz in this system and on another system, then here I got more pleasure. I'm just talking about it)
