I stopped turning the display off after the normal shutdown process recommended by ARC. Turn the volume to 0 and mute the Ref 3. Walk over and turn off my amps. Return to the Pre and turn it off. With no display glowing at me I ended up leaving the Ref 3 on until the middle of the next day. Not the end of the world but a safe habit to develop. You probably have a better memory than I do though.
