I wish I could attend, Shadowfax meets Shadowlight. What an occurrence! I am yet to meet you both in person after long time correspondencies.

Unfortunately, my US centre of gravity has shifted from the Philly Mainline suburbs to the Jersey Shores...

Norman, let me know the next time that you are in the area.

Philly is about an hr from where I am located and depending on your location in Jersey Shores, it's either 1hr to 2.5 hrs worst case (Cape May)

PM sent with all the relevant information to folks who planned to attend. If I missed anyone please let me know. We currently have 70 confirmed attendees :yahoo1::yahoo1:.

Where at Norman? Princeton is close enough to the Spring Lake, Belmar shore towns, barely an hour.

So Shadowfax meets Shadowlight

I wanted to take this opportunity to say Thank You to Shadowlight and his family for opening their home up to so many people. I was the only Shark there so shame on the rest of you that were close enough to attend. Deepak's daughter was also a very gracious host who took care of everyone's coats and made sure the food and drinks were in good order.

The 3 systems were all nice sounding even though the rooms were not all optimal. My favorite was the smallest setup in the upstairs bedroom. It was the most captivating sound room. The Pure Audio Project speakers are cleverly cool with interchangeable drivers allowing you to customize the sound. All setups had plenty of bass even when driven with the little Hattor SS Integrated. In the small room, there was some difference when music was streamed thru the DAC, but CDs direct from an older CAL CDP thru the Hattor was plenty good.

I realize than several of the disks I had with me were not recorded as well as a lot of Audiophile music, but it was great to hear what I listen to played thru nicer systems.

The best track I heard that day was Heather, by Jessica Williams on a Live recording. I heard this track in the basement system with the "cheaper" full range drivers and would have liked to hear it again after they swapped in the Full Rangers with the field coil and external amp which added $12K to the pair that were somewhere near $4k with the standard driver.

All in all I really enjoyed myself, even tho I knew nobody there. The food was also really good as well as the leftovers we were all sent home with.

Again, a big Thank You to Deepak (Shadowlight)

I can't see real well from the photos provided, but it looks like they're using the stock capacitors and cables. That would be the most honest way to show the product. I own both the Trio 10 with Voxativ and Trio 15 with horn. I can absolutely say that upgrading the capacitor and choke as well as cables that Lash the crossover to the drivers transforms the speakers to a whole nother level. Like all speakers, these speakers seem to need a good three hundred plus hours of breaking before they really come into their own.

I do wish I was there to here the field coil driver.

Kingrex, the Trio15 downstairs had Mike Powell's (verastarr copper jumpers). I didn't really like the Tang Band driver very congested and bright. Once they switched to the Voxatic field coil driver it was really good. Great resolution, fast, dynamic, and open pretty impressive.

I would have loved to hear the horn driver. If I make it to the CAF show, hopefully they'll have them with the 4 15" woofers per side.
