Art Dudley, R.I.P.

That is a big loss! I was just reading his very detailed and enjoyable write up on the Luxman CL-1000 preamp in the latest Stereophile. RIP.

RIP Mr. Dudley. Your contributions to the high end audio press were significant and will be remembered for a long time.

Wow, what a bummer. R.I.P. He will surely be missed a lot. And by a lot of people.

Man, I've been reading his columns for many years and I'm sure gonna miss them.

What a great quote from Mr. Dudley:

“Music is easy to miss for the listener who thinks his job is to concentrate on the sound."

RIP

Posted this on Facebook, under Paul's thread re Art yesterday:

Oh my.... I first met Art at Bob Visintainer's shop back in 2001, when I was the distributor for Avantgarde Acoustic. What a class act.

After he stopped producing Listener and went to Stereophile, I always read his articles first, even if it meant searching a bit for them. He made a lasting mark on our audiophile community, in the best possible way.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but sharing John Devore's Youtube from July.
Art Dudley's excellent record collections are on sale on ebay. Proceeds from the sale are to help his family.
