Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, has passed.

She was a pioneering artist who transcended genre and made her own unique mark on music history. RIP, Ms. Franklin.

My endearing memory of her is her singing of "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" in the movie Blues Brothers.
Still blows the doors of the room. Fantastic voice
