I just ordered a pair of the Arendal 1528 Bookshelf 8 speaker in Polar white. The 1528 line is all the rage of the internet. There is a 4 month wait for the speakers do to vibrant sales.

The pro reviews all say pretty much the same thing that these speakers are exceptionally good.

I will post a review come September or October.

Here is a review-

I have a pair of the 1528 bookshelfs and I am stunned at how good they are. All the reviewers on YouTube are spot on.

The speaker is built like a tank at 66 pounds. The cabinet is inert. The front baffle is 3" thick.

These are replacing my Magnepan 1.6 speakers.
They present a wide, deep and tall sound stage, almost as large as my Maggie's. The presentation is silky smooth yet detailed and resolving. It is a neutral sounding speaker with a hint of warmth. They have great clarity.

They are very musical and dynamic. The bass is like having 2 subs. We measured an in room response of below 25hz. The bass rattles my house as good as my 2×10" subs. The midrange has great air and transparency yet remains full and textured.

The top end is silky smooth yet extended with no fatigue, grain or glare. They are so effortless and natural sounding.

These speakers can handle power. They never broke up when playing extremely loud.

I like the fact that there are 2 jumpers on the back of each speaker that can adjust the treble and midrange +/- 2db.

These speakers go for $4500 but they can complete with speakers in the 10 to 12k range.

I really can't find any faults with them except for being really large. These should not be considered bookshelfs. They are huge, sound like large towers and are my be all, end all speakers, they are that good.

Congrats on buying a pair of speakers you love!.

Thank you Mep. If anyone lives in the Twin Cities area, they are welcome to come over for a listen.
