Jeff turned me on to this, i been doing some research. seems like an incredible idea. to be able to adjust your cartridges sra and azimuth right at the headshell. i for one am a little anal about my cartridge and have my led magnifying headset and protractor out every week. stevenson, loefgren, baerwald settings. i do them all. not much info out there on the arche but from what i gather its around $500. since the headshells for my arm are from $100-$600 and are not adjustable, i will have to test one out .
oh i took a couple pics off a review i found on another website might have been a forum, if that is a no no just delete them.
not sure if hey can be used on all tonearms or not. as i said not much info out there.

from their website:
Allow us to introduce to you the arché-headshell - the true audiophile headshell design which sets an all new standard in versatility and sound quality. This new audiophile headshell will allow you to hear the sound really engraved in your records.
It's unique technical features and solutions are all for only one purpose:

- to bring to your ears and senses the utmost musical experience in the best possible sonics.

Experience what a headshell can really do for the sound of an analog front-end.

When you listen for maybe the first time to a perfect SRA-aligned audiophile cartridge in a headshell which does preserve all the tiny details and transfers every nuance of energy extracted from the stylus to really reach the phono stage and opens up the full musical spell which was recorded.

The arché headshell is the best link you will find between your cartridge and your tonearm.

Your cartridge will love the arché - because it will bring out the very best in it and allows it to shine in a way like never before - and so will you.

Okay those are a cool concept. Are the pieces that the cart mounts to available separately? You could buy however many you need to mount all your carts and then just swap them out whenever you get a wild hair. The initial setup is all you would need to do and then when swapping just a quick VTF adjust and you're good to go right?

they are pretty cool and i hope Jeff can chime in and answer your question. but the 2 pics i got from that review seem to just show a similar type of quick release setup like my ortofon arm has. but the pic i got from the manufacturers site seems to be a slip on type of setup. which means if say for example you had a delos and a cadenza bronze on an amadeus and 2 arche headshells you could possiblly switch back and fourth with a simple couple of clamp screws.and some small adjustments. but im just guessing and im not sure. hahaa! bad influence right? because nothing from the manufacturer says its only for certain arms.
i just think its a great idea!!! or could it be added to a permanent headshell on another arm??

The headshell, protractor and Axiom arm are being brought into the US by Stirling Trayle and colleagues at Vana Acoustics.

Did you see this video at the manufacturer's website?

thanks miles i missed them on the website. unfortunately my iphone just died and i just realized my pc has no sound. im scrambling trying to find where i put those damn little speakers now.lol. but i will watch that. this product is very interesting to me. thx again

Daniel aka Dietrich has had the Arche around for about 15 months now. Nice to see it finally available more readily in the US.

His tonearm is mega expensive.

I have had his Uni Tractor alignment system for a few years now and it is excellent. the quality is outstanding.

Enjoy the headshell and let us know what its like.

cheers

WOW! These are some serious looking headshells, makes my Orsonic and Audioquest head shells look like toys! Does anyone have one of these? How do you like them ? I like how adjustable they are but you know how it is, sometimes extra adjustability just turns into a headache. I'd love to hear some personal experiences. Great thread! Thanks for posting!!

i dont have one yet but i am getting one, the stock ortofon headshell i have now is (as you mentioned )a toy compared to this. i might buy the ortofon lh9000 carbon fiber one for my next cartridge and get the arche for the cartridge i have now. i will post my findings. i love this thing i cant wait to try one!!!!

Yes and Yes.....

Steve those are right up your alley with wanting multiple cartridges and having a tonearm that will accommodate it. Great solution for it.
