You may have trouble with posting photos and pm's until you have 10 or more posts.

For what it is worth, I just purchased a REF 75 to replace my REF 250s to drive my Nola Baby Grands Series IIs. The REF 75 sounds better. Less compressed, cleaner, less hifi and more "in the room". A magical amp indeed!

Welcome to AS Battles!

Sweet system you have there. I did the same thing with my REF250's thought i was the only crazy one. I bet those Baby Grands with the ARC front end are stunning.

Ha! Thanks for the warm welcome Etunes!

I had a few guys who I trust really well recommend the REF 75. I doubt that trading down from the 250s would be the right decision for all speakers, but at my preferred listening volume I feel my 75 bests my 250s on my BGs. Did you compare your 250s to your 75? Would be curious to hear your comparison. I'm visiting Carl next week to hear the BG Golds. I hate throwing more $s at this crazy hobby, but depending on what I hear next week, I just may succumb!

Walk away from the Light!
I'm sure both the BG and the BG Golds are amazing. I did not A/B but spent 1500 hrs with the 250s and have 700 on the 75 to date. As you mentioned it might not be a fit for every speaker/system but the 250s were over kill for me. That said I find a very similar sound with a tad more ease or air with the 75.
