Apple Music Streaming Service

NPR had a blurb about this balking of Apple and how it means nothing for the less known (less rich, less popular) artist and a big deal for the "Talyor Swifts", "Led Zeppelins" and "Rolling Stones." Those artist gets millions of plays multiplied by the pennies for streaming revenue equal passive income retirement for all of us! Even you, Mike.

Unfortunately, IF we all got together and made a band, we'd get far less in a 3 month period than Taylor Swift.

True that Taylor comes from wealth and privilege and doesn't really know what it's like on the other side of the tracks, but she does have a valid point (now that she is not whining) and maybe she can be the voice for those artists not in her world that also deserve to get paid. It's bad enough the big record companies and such rip off the artists with an ink pen, no artists needs to be ripped off by everyone else as well.

I have no skin in the game, but by the way, Spotify pays the artists better rate than radio stations, both airwave and internet. I don't know what Apple is planning on paying ultimately and I don't know what JayZ is paying. I'm not defending any of them or agreeing or disagreeing with their policies, just pointing out what is often overlooked.
