Apologies for the brief interruption. We had to upgrade to a higher Enterprise class server and install an SSL certificate on a dedicated IP. The servers across the world should be finished propagating now.

Back to our regular scheduled programming.

Thanks Mike, whatever the hell that meant ................

It means me spending more money! LOL. It’s all good. They’ve been pestering me to upgrade for a few months. 1.2 million hits a month and a lot of storage for pictures, means it was time to move up! Plus, the SSL certificate was needed once Google decided if you didn’t have one, your site would show up as unsecure (even though it wasn’t). Can you say cash grab?

+1 ... the whole https thing is such a scam.

Mike,

Since you have already gone through the effort of installing certificates to make the website more secure, can you ask the provider to redirect users from non-secure to secure automatically.

I am not sure if it is just me but when you go to https://www.audioshark.org website, the site formatting is screwed up. I tried it with both Chrome and Firefox on Windows 10.

Sorry, but I will have to disagree with you here :D. I know the content on the AS is not critical and sensitive but other websites do contain sensitive information. For me at least the username and password needs to be sent in secure fashion.

Clear your browser cache and reboot. Let me know.

Did that and the only way that I can get the website to display correctly is to say allow scripts to run from non-https site under Chrome and under IE it basically said load all contents regardless of mixed contents. I have not tried to figure out Firefox yet. I started with https://www.audioshark.org and said allow scripts to run from non secure site and when I reply to the message the site is no longer https and says "Not Secure"

I also run Chrome (Version 70.0.3538.102) and am similarly seeing "Not secure" displayed in the address bar, but the site is otherwise properly displayed and fully functional. If I try to access the https link provided above the displayed page is a completely unformatted list of links. :weird:

Yep, the unformatted website is what I get when go to the https website. Tried it from 2 different Win10 system. I will try it from a mac tomorrow and safari.

Well for the first time EVER since I have been a member, and using FireFox forever, this morning when I access the site I get this view, I have changed nothing on my end, Chrome works ok.

Just tried that, didn't fix it, did a complete refresh of Firefox, didn't work, I do have the latest browser load, which has been loaded for a while, like I noted this worked great yesterday. Ideas ?
Mike I just went ahead deleted Audioshark all together and reloaded loaded the bookmark. Its working like it was.
