APC S20 vs Torus AVR20

I may ask Jeff to loan me a couple to try. I know he likes them. As for restricting dynamics - that only happens IF the power condition/regenerator can't supply the peek current required during a dynamic part in the song. Using a device from Fluke, we were able to determine that both amps cranking didn't even draw 10amps. That's two amps into one APC S15. I plan on having one amp into its own S20 each on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

You can borrow my s15 if you want to try it....assuming I get it back from Jeff! :)
 
I'm not sure that you're measuring instantaneous peak current flow using that method. And Many amplifier manufacturers recommend against using power conditioners. I'm very hesitant to use them on my amps, but that's just me. :)

It's an old wives tale! :). You have to try it. It may work for you, may not. We were measuring peak as best we could.

Mike, I very much recommend the BPT BP-3.5 Signature PLUS with V-Cap Teflon Capacitors to power your high power demanding gear like your amps. I have both of my PASS Labs xa160.5 plugged into one and never run out of juice. It's has a very huge Toridial transformer to provide you that perfectly balanced Common Mode Rejection which is highly rated for EXCELLENT clean power and LOTS of it!!!

Thanks George. I picked up another APC S20 on ebay for $269 and finally got my APC S15 back from Jeff C. So, I'm all set. I now have two APC S20's in action and two S15's for preamp/sources/home theater stuff.

Jeff C. bought a new APC S20 and he loves it. Of course Jeff plugs everything into from his TV to his multi channel amp to his cable box to his mono blocks, preamp, sources, etc. and it and gets very close to overloading it. He could probably do with another.
