Anyone try the new Psvane Horizon tubes?

I just bought a quad of Psvane Horizon EL34 tubes ( I’m normally very leery of Chinese tubes, among other things ) but Amazon had them for $75 a pair. Not bad price wise! After running just over 20 hours one tube went bluey and a loud pop, was afraid of damaging my HH Scott 272 amp. Stuck a backup pair of Tung-Sol’s in and no harm was done. Amazon said we’ll send you a new pair now so send the bad pair back within the month. 2 days later got the new pair and installed them and 5 hours later running nice. This worked out so well I ordered another pair for backup. Sounding real nice so far!

22 hours now on the new pair of Horizons and so far clear sailing. The seem to have the same textures and wide soundstage - I’m really happy that a tube company is putting in the effort to make tubes as the same quality as my old Mullards and Tung-Sol’s! Here’s a quick shot ( one channel) of the Horizon’s in action. Nice even glow from top to bottom!

I had read a few good comments about them and the price was reasonable so I bought two quads of the KT88s for my VAC monos a couple months ago (before the price hike). Not a single hiccup in terms of performance/stability. Compared to the stock Gold Lions they are a bit more transparent and detailed, more dimensional, and bass is more defined/less bloated. Maybe a skoosh less rich, maybe it's the lack of bass bloat, but still very warm and creamy. Very pleased.
The Acme line sits right above Horizon and now there's a new top tier line called Summit.

I’m very happy with the Horizon’s I can’t imagine Acme or especially the Summit!

I’d be interested in 6DJ8 tubes. But none of the newer tube makers marketing are doing these tubes. I’m glad to have several pairs already though, NOS and newer.

Yes - I have the Horizon and the new Summit series. Both are fantastic for current production tubes.

The Horizon is a steal at their price. While the Summit is much more expensive, it is also among the best sounding new production tube. I've been posting updates on tests about them on my channels and pages.
