ANYONE TRIED A BOX OF BB's as per ABSOLUTE SOUND ARTICLE????

I happened to be waiting at the Secretary of State office today and had an older (2014) issue of the Absolute Sound in my van that I brought in with me to pass the time.
An article talked about a new measuring system for audio, based on the height of soprano voices.
The authors were experimenting with BB's in a wooden box both on top (think VPI brick) and underneath equipment.
They also used them with footers such as Stillpoints and Nordost.
The results were very positive for the BB boxes.
Has anyone tried this? And the results were?

Yes with zinc plated put inside bamboo containers. Also helps with sound deadening if placed on top of components.

Combining some sand with the BBs seems to makes a difference also. Lots of different combinations.

I filled the enclosure of my Von Schweikert VR4 Jr's with leas shot per their recommendation years back. Sure were difficult to move when I sold them.
