Sure, anything goes. From opera to heavy, depending on what I am up to.

Mostly listening to jazz, but as I play guitar, every now and then a little more energetic music is good (and I’m allowed as I have not quite passed the threshold yet).

I will be 69 in a few months, and just downloaded some Metal from HD Tracks last week, and probably some more tomorrow. Also like Rap, along with String Quartets, and female jazz singers.

Megadeath and Mahler. Classic version of Doom metal very moody symphony piece, sure We love audiophile stuff too

Yes!
Especially in car, usually Octane or Liquid Metal on XM. Have plenty of Lamb of God, Gojira, etc on the hard drive

Definitely. I'm branching out into classical, Jazz etc. but still Rocking.

I recently purchased the new Trivium, Sin and the Sentence, I like real well. I just discovered Underoath and like their new album Erase Me. I'm a big Disturbed fan. In This Moment is another band I really like, the album Beautiful Tragedy gets played a lot by me.

I also really enjoy bands like Tristania, Epica, Sirenia, Within Temptation, and some Nightwish.

Metal has to have some form for me to enjoy, even young I couldn't sit and listen to Speed Metal.

If anyone likes Metallica, the latest Hard Wired To Self Destruct is excellent. I grew a bit luke warm on them after the album with Sandman, I was well pleased with Hardwired though.

Pantera

Mt favorite Melodic Death Metal Band Dark Tranquility Atoma

May sound crazy, but I’m thinking the term “Metal Classic or Classic Metal” may need to come about, and then how do you define it so we’re all in agreement; style, vintage, other?

Well not exactly over 50... but am a pretty big metal head! Just picked up the following. My favorite metal find in recent years. Cattle Decapitation - The Anthropocene Extinction

I’m not into metal these days, but the boyfriend of the woman that cuts my hair is in After The Burial. I can’t get beyond the dude growling into the mic, but if that’s your thing, check the out.

The last of FFDP that I bought.... On my system this drummer would have to be one of the better fast paced stickmen I've heard for a while. When the weekend arrives, I turn the system on to warm up, do a few chores & grab a beer & the first listen as I sit down between the speakers ...... the blood quickens!
