In a quest to improve my penmanship (I’m left handed) and reduce my heavy handed writing style, I’ve rediscovered fountain pens. Anytime I’ve needed anything typed or written out, I’d try and use my computer to get it done. That’s not always possible.

My dad always used to write with a fountain pen and I’d play with them when I was younger, but I’d always make a mess. :)

I bought a left handed Lamy fountain pen for about $40 and absolutely love it. My hand doesn’t ache like it does with a ballpoint pen. Pilot and Pentel gel pens are awesome, but there’s nothing like a great fountain pen!

Like audio and other hobbies, I go in/out of interest in dealing with the hassle and pleasure of a fountain pen. I have several, but as I started flying more and concerned with leaks, I migrated to a Montblanc roller ball for most of my hand note taking. That said, I do appreciate the beauty, craftsmanship, and pleasure of a fountain pen.

It never occurred to me until doing a little research lately, leaking pens is a real concern when flying. What a mess they could create.

I’m a big fan of DuPont fountain pens and have 3 of them……I do like the look of the Pilot pens, just may have to buy one.

I’ve never seen DuPont pens but will take a look.

I’ve already relaxed my death grip have been able to have my hand more comfortable throughout the day. I’m still not a big cursive writer but hopefully will improve over time.

I still write a lot but my cursive ain’t pretty [emoji4]. DuPonts are heavy weighted pens and requires very little downward pressure so very smooth to write with.
