I use all Clarus Crimson in my 2-channel rig but a complete loom may again cost more than you are looking to spend. Actually, the interconnects/XLR's aren't so bad but the speaker cables are costly. Power cords reasonable as well, comparatively. Interesting to my experience with Clarus, first listen I wasn't really turned on, so passed, however, the power cords were great so I started with them. I auditioned 2 sets of XLR's after that and noticed with more Clarus in my system the results improved, I completed the Loom and have been happy with the result.
If I didn't have Clarus, Analysis Plus would be on my list, Crystal Oval. A+ to me is very natural sounding.
Before the Clarus I was using Anticable and liked it a lot. I lent mine to friends before, it does seem system dependent, sometimes sounding thin. I used the silver Reference, except in speaker cables, the sound just has a purity to it I really enjoyed. Not much if you want audio jewelry though
Good idea as mentioned to try to audition, borrow, buy with return, because as you probably already know, many cable brand's synergy varies per system.
