Any bluegrass music fans out there?

I listened to some Nickel Creek and liked songs like Lighthouse and Smoothy Song, any album best? I'll finish Reasons, the best of at a later time. Sorry, Blue Highway didn't do much for me at first listen.

That's OK. We can't all like the same thing. Try some other Blue Highway albums. I like some more than others myself. Somewhere Far Away is BH's latest album. I really like it. Check it out if you haven't already.

If you like the instruments of Bluegrass but not quite as much native bluegrass try Druha Trava. They are a Czech Republic band. The name means "second grass". Robert Krestan is the leader of the band.

Go to YouTube and search Druha Trava Wild Horses. The do a great version of the song.

Listening to them as a type.

I absolutely love many of the bands discussed and really enjoy the banjo in particular. One band I play allot, and have not seen mentioned is Balsam Range. I find Buddy Melton's voice outstanding.

This is one of my favorite albums and has been since the 70s.

Nickel Creek, Alison Krauss, and Steve Martin (banjo) with Edie Brickell. Oh, and Rhonda Vincent. I’m not as good at the hard core bluegrass.

I’m a big bluegrass fan. I can’t get enough of Billy Strings right now. I’ve seen them a dozen or so times over the last two years and they are getting better by the show. I’ll be seeing them twice at Winter Wondergrass Tahoe and twice in Boulder in the next two months. I am incredibly impressed at how good their live stuff sounds on Nugs.net...my new favorite streaming service.

The Dhuks are a very good choice. Your daughters and your sons might their best album.
I also agree Hayseed Dixie is a fun band I have two of their discs.
