My first generation Yota 4 runner.........
Chevy Vortec 350 is being installed as I type this.:P

I live WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY up in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas (surrounded by 1 Million acres of National Forest).
Comes in pretty handy in the winter time (and muddy summer for that matter).
Love getting into those "hard to reach" fishing spots in the summer.:D
This is the 6th Yota 4x4 I have owned, and will prolly stay with this one.

I am going to Alaska in May, "Alcan Highway" through Canada, the Yukon ect., and hoping to pull this behind my RV.
We shall see, still have to test the MPG and do some math.
Its not looking real good at this point, but I am still trying to lie to myself and take it along.:P

You have to take it because you might need to pull the RV behind it if you get off the beaten path. :)

Very true Doug, LOL!
The heated seats are nice in the winter (flick a switch:D).
I remember last year in my Yota truck passing a 4x4 road grader and several "famous maker" 4x4's that was having some difficulty going up the steep ice covered mountain.
We just laughed it off, and went about our business as we passed them up the mountain.:D

Lets see some pics of other members 4x4's!
Not sure I could live without one!
Whatcha got?

I had a '76 CJ5 in high school. It was all-time 4WD with a big V8 in it. Terrible gas mileage but that thing could go anywhere. Next was a '91 Pathfinder that did remarkably well off road, but it was my wife's daily driver! Lastly I had an '07 Tacoma that I absolutely loved. With the longer wheelbase I never thought twice about doing anything off road. It had great torque and was about the only vehicle I kick myself for getting rid of.

A word about audio.............
Pretty good SQ in the 4 Runner!:snicker:
Image Dynamics ID4 12" sub (Planet Audio P500.2 amp, 2 ohm).
MB Quart 6x9's in the rear compartment (rear fill).
Phoenix Gold XS 6.5s Component set in the front (1" silk dome tweets, carbon mids).;)
Phoenix Gold XS 3.0 amp feeding the fronts (150 watts@ 2 ohm).
Kenwood Z700 head unit, its pretty decent.:D
Dual batteries, I wanted some good SQ in this one.
I have not been disappointed.....

This is what I use to get to the trailheads in Colorado.

This may be a shocker to some, but I used Mogami 2534 for IC's.
2549 for sub amp.
Never heard better in my 25 years in the car audio business!
Killer shielding, killer SQ.
Something to consider, very easily made, and price/performance is just nuts!
If you have any questions, and want to make a pair yourself, just pm me, I'll help you, I have been making cables for years (as a living).
I solder the shield as a drain on one side only (source side).
Crazy good!

I was in Del Norte last year, Steam Boat Springs the year before, I love CO!
Going through Denver in a few months.
You got my mouth watering!:P

NICE JEEP BTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Used to be. Grew up with Dad's 2 flat fendered Willy's jeep. Here's a couple of handy pics of my '83 Bronco around '85 or so. Drove the crap out of it for 15 years. It was a real dog with the stock 351M smog motor. Blew that up in 2 years and built a proper 400 hp 351W for it. Blew the rear end up once, but the stock C6 with an Art Carr shift kit was indestructible. Drove it with that outlaw motor until Cal Smog ll passed and the midnight smoggers went extinct about 13 years later. I'd love to do an early Bronco with a Cleveland motor, but an L4/L5 fusion in 2011 put an end to that idea.

Me coming down Blow Sand Mtn at Ocotillo Wells - The only other 4 wheeler I saw make it up there was a Toyota Land Cruisier and he just chugged it up. Other than that this is a rail and quad hill. I had to air down to 12# and hit the bottom at 70 in 4WH and hang on for dear life with the pedal squashed to make it. Mom and the kids watched from the bottom.

I planted trees (reforestation) for almost thirty years, all over British Columbia and Alberta.
I did some off-road driving (up the mountains and in all type of weather) in my time; I've seen some and some more...
I had them few 4x4 vehicules with powerful engines and seven miles to the gallon!

Freaking killer!!
Great story GREAT TRUCK!
Man I cannot wait to get out again!
I just got back from 7 days in South Arkansas.
Crazy wilderness down there.

We drove a single road in, about 25 miles, and the entrance was 10-15 miles past the nearest house/phone.
Nothing like being 40-50 miles from anything.
Love it, and very impressed with your Bronco, super nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. We had a great time with it. Lots of wheeling, fishing, camping, etc. The Twin I Beam front ends had a bad rep, but if they weren't lifted they were very durable. I left mine alone, 'cept for Rancho gas shocks and lifted the body. I broke a few of the shorter of the 2 front shocks from axle drop getting too much air. Limiting straps cured that though. I spent a couple of years in the desert building cell sites between LA and Vegas. I know what you mean about being 20-30 miles from pavement up on top of a mountain. It's real peaceful.

FYI, you could travel from my house to Little Rock Arkansas, and it would would be roughly 200 miles through National Forest.LOL!
Its crazy!

Nothing but wilderness if that gives you some idea (I live north of Mulberry, do a search).
However, had I not been with friends, and multiple vehicles involved, I would have not been so happy.
I do not, and will not go 50 miles of dirt road by myself to bow hunt.:reallymad:
I have mucho game in my back yard.

Millions, and Millions acres of National Forest in Arkansas.
3 Million acres? MORE?
Something like that.

You would need that SWEET Bronco up here!
Promise!:eyebrow:

I hope I can be forgiven here,
Prolly the biggest decision I have ever made in my life.
It takes alot to uproot me and head 4k miles north.
However, I have friends who have done the "Alaska" thing and have told me May to August is the only time to travel.
I can sooooooooooooooooooooooooo not WAIT!
Wish me luck gentlemen!:D

Check out "Chris Penn" on YouTube.......blueprint for Alaska..........:D
