Hi!

I found this forum following the thread on the new ICEPOWER Class D amps vs Hypex-based nCore. I am based in the UK (west of London).. My system is all streaming-based, pivots around a reclocked MicroRendu source into a Mytek DAC (as I wanted to hear MQA). Shopping for a new amp, and thinking new speakers to replace my KEF LS50. The new ELAC Adante-61s I heard at a show recently and very nice..

Like to experiment and tried a few tweaks. Not yet found that natural sound I find in 1-2 rooms per show (most are not great).. You know.. that sound where all you want to do is sit and hear whats coming next..

Thank you! I’m looking forward to the ongoing discussions re hifi and tweaks and hopefully not too many of the belief wars and threads that go on and on with heavy bias. Seems to not be the case so far 😉

Welcome Simon. If your looking at bookshelf replacements one you might want to look into which would be a lot more available to you in Europe is the Canton Reference K9. Rave reviews by the European press.

Thank you Jack! I’ll take a look. The new Elac Adante’s I already heard and was impressed. I’m also a major PMC fan, but they don’t do white gloss finishes that I’m after. I will need to listen however and see whether I compromise.
