hi all
my main source for new gear are hifi shows respectively the reports afterwards.
no shows at the moment, so how do we get informed and shown the prototypes?
manufactors usually do not inform on theyr websites.
so, what are the news?

for example i was wondering whether nagra will show up a streamer, finally. wouldnt matter if it takes time then until release....at least you know its coming.

Dealers and distributors are still getting news and updates so you might try reaching out to your local Nagra dealer to see if they know anything. A small number of companies have started doing webinars or holding other video-based activities. I am still seeing new product information show up in online reviews and magazines.

I haven't gotten the impression that any company is changing the timing on announcements relative to release, but release dates themselves may have been pushed back due to the economy and because facilities and operations have been temporarily shut down.

Some companies have newsletters or periodic announcements of new product, sales, and special events sent to subscribers on their mailing list. I think that may become more common. If there are particular companies you are interested in check to see if they have a mailing list.

A couple that come to mind are:

McIntosh
Zesto

Maybe other members will add more names.

I would add social media, like your favorite manufacturer Facebook page, I see a lot of news get passed along that way. On 4/17 Axpona had a virtual all day show live on FB, it was fun, especially since the show was canceled.

I see other companies beginning to have online meetings the public is welcome to join. I haven't attended but SVS is having a weekly seminar/get-together.
