Andrew Jones and a new brand

I think those look really good and I’d love to hear them but I always felt my TAD CR-1’s were a little hot in the treble for my taste.

Here is a blurb from Mr. Jones on the SHF responding to all the speculation there-

Well, so many discussions so soon after the announcement of my new company!... I do
appreciate your interest but I see lots of wild - and incorrect - speculation! Let me address some of the issues here.

First and foremost: I have not left MoFi and they have not let me go. I am an employee of MoFi,
just as I have been an employee of all the other companies I have worked for. I have never been
a contract worker or "hired gun". I commit fully to the companies I work for. I will continue to
bring out new products for Mofi in the near future, and I love my working relationship with
them and the people I work with.

I have worked professionally designing speakers for over 45 years now. During this time I have
worked for just 6 companies/institutions. That's not "continually jumping ship". When I change
it's because new opportunities arise that allow me to further exercise my creative drive.

The creation of Jones and Cerreta allows me to push myself in directions I have not
previously explored, while also having an ownership stake in the company. MoFi is fully on
board with this venture, giving me freedom to explore ideas which were not in their product
plan direction.
Now, a "Mea Culpa". Some of you are admittedly, confused with what direction the new design
is taking. On our new Jones and Cerreta website and Instagram page there is a photo of myself
and one of my partners, Jamie, talking and listening to his current system that includes his Altec 604 speakers.
Those are not our new Jones and Cerreta speakers and this does not mean I am
copying an Altec 604!!
I am however, interested in the concept of higher efficiency full range speakers, as is Jamie. This was our meeting point when coming together with the thought
of creating a new company. More details will be forthcoming as we get closer to the launch.

I do hope this response is not perceived as me using this forum to plug my new company. That's not my intention. I simply want to clarify the situation.

Regards

Andrew Jones

Thank you for posting additional information about Andrew Jones and company history.

I’m not sure when I’ll get to hear them but, of course, I’ll keep an open mind.

He is going to be at Axpona this spring. I am going to the show in Seattle in September, I hope he will be there. If they are reasonably priced and sound great, I may sell my Arendal speakers and give those a go.

I’d love to read your thoughts on them.

Lou told me that the Pacific Audio Fest was pushed to 2027. Of course I might have misunderstood.
