Hello.
I am presently using aragons 8008BB NOW.
Althoigh they are dual mono I use two one behind each tower on its own P10 regen.
I have upgraded the crossover unit to fully balanced as well.
Also the internal crossovers as well same as Paul of ps audio.

A couple of amps I intend to try
ps audio mono blocks the bhk ones
next is goldmund I forget the model right now.
Anyone know something to try. I live in Nyc
although I will listen In any show room. A home trial is a must.
No tube only and a hybrid or solid state is fine.
I want it fast and not tuby or warm like a pass labs is.
I love the tone of the Aragons , they are I think barely neutral
I am hoping to pick up some more resolution
any thoughts is nice budget no more than 30k weather they are mono or stereo. Mono preferred due to size of room and the towers
I like the amps right behind each tower. Balanced Input prefered or dual. I am also open to discussions on reasons for choices and I am not going to knock anyone's choices.
Also class AB but please include D for discussion.

Thanks in advance

Audionet Max
Spectral DMA-400

Based on your description:

Joe's Bryston 28SST2's (Joe is local, maybe he will let you try them???)
Pass X.8 series monos (Pass XA series is warm and tubey, X.8 series is fast and dynamic with great tonality).

Thanks to both of you.
Mike very kind and ill look them up. I always thought hey we're warm at east the ones I heard a have. Also his amps used by headphone users as well. The watt line
thanks

The X.8 series is linear and dynamic as hell with great tonality.

Hello Al,

I' m pretty familiar with your setup , both speakers and amplifiers.

When Mondial was in business we used their products quite a bit and frankly i found the 4004 II to be better sounding than the later 8008 , if you like the Aragon sound and you confess to, then look for a Pr of Palladium's, they are better than the 8008.

I have also heard Spectral on the Gen1's and they were also very good. The Palladium's were the best sounding Aragon amplfiers ...

May i suggest also the Krell FPB series the sound is similar to the Aragon with more power...

Regards...

Al... I heard the Audionet amps at Axpona. Wow! Check them out.

Also... In Class D territory I heard the Mola Mola. Worth an audition.

Don't forget Hegel. You could get 2 H30's and use each as a monoblock if you like. Amazing amp.

Hope this helps. Please contact me if I can assist further.

Funny regarding the Argons I also owns 4004ii as well I used it on different setup.
Thanks all.
