I know that opinions often lean towards using the shortest speaker cable length possible...in regards to Shunyata Alpha v2 cables specifically (taking into consideration how they are built)...

Will there be a significant difference in sound using an Alpha v2 cable 2 meters in length vs 3 meters? I could probably squeak by with 2 meters, but feel like having the extra length gives me more
flexibility on placement.

No, it won't be a problem, at all. There won't be any difference in sound quality. Also, consider placing the speaker cables on the DF-SS cable risers. I used to dismiss the importance of these, until I (somewhat by accident) did a controlled experiment last year, and the improvement using them brings is notable. Placing your SPs on them will result in a notable increase in focus and clarity, and less "blur and slur".

You can also use the smaller DFSS Minis for supporting parts of the cable between the larger DF-SS elevators.

Thanks, Puma Cat. Appreciate the quick response!

Just a note...be sure to check carefully the orientation of the cable when connecting it. That is, the end of the cable that is to be connected to the speaker terminals. The Shunyata HARP device inside the cylindrical end is at the "destination end", where the shorter leads come out, and is to be connected the speaker end, and not the amplifier end.

And congratulations, its a terrific speaker cable.
