Not sure I would be willing to wade through that tangle of gear and wires to find out. Can't really understand how he or the publication thinks they are helping his credibility by showing photos of a reviewers room that looks like that.

Yes, it's messy.
The reviewer's dealer, The Audio Salon, one of the top WA dealers in the USA, spent 16.5 hours getting the Alexx to work in that room.
Interesting side note: The Audio Salon was one of the few audio dealers in the USA that sold/displayed both WA and Magico. They dropped Magico last year.
Agreed. What's with reviewers and terrible rooms? It's honestly not much better with Valin, Fremer, etc.

For the couple of you guys who know Danny personally that's great, but I don't and the average reader of that publication doesn't either other than the image those photos project.

What does terrible mean Mike? Not aesthetically pleasing. Most of the worst sounding rooms in which I have ever worked are gorgeous.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not advocating messy. I'm just saying that unless you've been there, you might want to reserve judgement.
It's completely unbalanced (visually) and likely sonically. No proper treatments except for a few absorption panels behind the listener (where diffusers typically work best). Stuff is everywhere. Brick, glass, everywhere. A sofa and fireplace behind the right speaker and a wall and a door. Christ, the roof isn't even! He has a low ceiling behind the speakers which can create slap echo. His listening position is a chair behind a desk. Seriously? The room is completely unbalanced left and right with respect to any kind of diffusion or absorption. And it's a mess!! Jap said 16.5 hours for setup? I guess that was a start.

Ok, let's not detract from the review due to the reviewers room. It's frankly not fair to these big speakers. Thankfully most people will be hearing them in much better conditions.

Danny has two rooms, and the living room is sunk right after the Wilson room. Its hard to see in the photos. The Wilsons play like they are half way in a large room. On one side is a huge wall of 3,000 records and the other wall is several racks of gear including multiple TTs. Behind the listening position are diffractors, not absorption. The fireplace is in an entirely different space, which he runs a YG Acoustics Hailey based system in that you can't see.
Any more questions? He's a good friend of mine and a great guy. His problem child is actually the YG room, not the Wilson one.

If it takes that long to get a speaker to fit or work in a particular room it is the wrong speaker. But if that is the room he has to work with and the Management team at PF is o.k. with him reviewing $110,000 speakers in that environment then at least pick up the clutter. It doesn't need to look like that at least when the photographer was there.
