My copies arrived today. Anyone else listening?
I'm really enjoying 25.
Anyone give it a listen yet?

Even though the vinyl is undoubtedly DDA, would it be safe to assume you prefer it over the cd?
Is the vinyl any good?
In Europe her early albums were from XL records which sounded better. Also, the audio on the DVDs were good quality too.Glad to hear the recording quality has improved from her first two albums. Such a shame about those since her music is really good.

I read yesterday that Adele isn't authorizing any streaming of 25.
Yes I read this too, but surely downloading is different. I want to move away from CDs for new albums due to space.
I get why she would not want it to be available for streaming, but not when someone is prepared to pay for the downlaod
I don't think I'll ever understand what Adele is trying to do. In my opinion it seems like she insists on singing well out of her range and abilities. Personally I find her very hard to listen to. If she stayed in range and did stuff like Amy Winehouse did for example, she would really shine. I wish she would do that because if she keeps doing what she is doing she is going to lose her vocal cords real quick and her career will be over.
I caught her live in a four song acoustic set and she over-does it there too. It makes me cringe every time she goes out of range as it makes her sound slightly off key and it hurts my ears. What bothers me as well is when she was in her range in the set she sounded fantastic if she would just stay there! She would make an excellent jazz singer, hands down.
I wholeheartedly agree. Though I like her music generally, two things hold me back from listening over my main system, the poor recording quality and her insistence on trying to hit melodramatic notes that aren't necessary. I also think she would make a really good jazz singer if she were to curb some of her tendencies, though I fear she would approach it similar to Christine Aguilera, who also has a beautiful voice that is not fully utilized even when she sings standards.
