Accuphase a-200 w TAD R1

Anyone heard this pairing??

Does accuphase work well with other brands preamp?

I've heard Accuphase A-200's and TAD R1's, but not together. The A-200's are fantastic amps and very smooth on top, without lacking detail. Class A sweetness on top.

Having owned TAD CR-1's, and now have an Accuphase A-36, I can see the A-200 as being spectacular on the R1's with a suitable preamp. If Accuphase was sanely priced here in the USA, I'd have been more inclined to have a full Accuphase system. I love the looks and if the rest of the line is anything like my A-36 but scaled up, wow, I'd love to have it.

I'm considering the m200 as it'll be quite a bit cheaper than tad m600.
Both are amazing looking !

Just joined the forum recently. I own this combo (pair of a-200s and Cr-1s). I have always thought it was a sublime combo, but I recently added a pair of REL subwoofers and that took it into the stratosphere. First time I didn’t sit down after an upgrade and immediately think of another upgrade.

Not cheap, but a transformative listening experience for me.

Here I am, about 2.5 years of ownership of these speakers (and this combo), and I love it more every day. Just amazing listening session tonight - had to tell somebody!!
