Some may know, some may not but a "needle drop" is a music sample to demonstrate the quality of something. I posted this elsewhere because they wanted to see the difference DC power made in an ART DJ Pre II..it was significant.
Anyway, here is what is cool. This sample was recorded with a $200 ATLP120 turntable (which was snobbishly rejected on another board even though it is the best NEWBIE $200 table out there) and at AT440Ml/OCC MM cart ($189)

So download and play on your main rig or with headphones. It takes a few minutes (2 to 3) to download because its a big wav file but worth a listen.
What's the point ? Just to show that a $200 table, $189 cart and a $39 MM Phono stage can sound pretty incredible. Audiophile? No...never said that...but a person on a budget getting into vinyl (example - a college student) can get some pretty incredible sound for under $500 complete
Enjoy...feedback welcome...Play it through a DAC and be amazed
