[h=2]A Guide to Home Audio and Video that spans 30 years[/h]
It’s 1986 and my girlfriend could not figure out how to use the new the newfangled device: A Cable Box. It was new and she kept forgetting that she had to turn on the TV with one remote, tune it to channel three and then use the cable remote to change channels.
Or she would turn on the stereo but forgot that I did not have receiver, so she had to turn on another box to get the Tuner turned on.
And believe it or not, back then, you had to show someone how to turn on and use a CD player, especially if they haven’t seen one by then.
Or my brother wanted to watch a Laser Disc movie and forgot all the knobs he had to push.
So I hand wrote a few instructions for them to follow when I was not around. Then when I got my first word processor I type it up and printed it out. There was no way show pictures. In 1996 I redid it Microsoft Word. In 2001 I redid it PageMaker and now I use InDesign. The instructions have actually gotten easier, but handy for when I not around. But it’s quite not for the uninitiated.
So here are a few pages from my Word Processor version and the new version that has the Krell 707 and Cipher.
