I had the pleasure today of spending the day with Grammy Award winning Mastering Engineer Bob Katz.

Did you get to hear any master tapes?

Everything is digital now. But I did hear many unreleased things from a long time ago.

I heard a 1956 3 track Duke Ellington that was taken from the original 3 track tape to 24/96. Amazing.

Mike, you do get around. I am tired just thinking about how much you cram into a week. Glad you had a great time.

Mike , that's awesome. I really have to get over there someday, he's friends with Chaffee in our group and he also chairs some of the central FL AES meets, of which I'm a member.
Looks like his beloved Revels got supplanted by Dynaudio!

cheers,

AJ

p.s like Joe said, you're one busy man!!

Cool pics Mike, thanks for sharing. Fun and educational! The big Dynaudio's and JL subs look lean and mean.
