Every once in a rare while I come across a product that really gets my juices flowing. Funnily enough, it's not big, shiny, expensive Hi-Fi exotica that instill those giddy feelings of passion and excitement. Instead, it's those rare products that do something truly special at a price that even a highschool kid could afford.

Lately, ELAC has been getting a whole bunch of (well deserved) praise for doing just that. But just recently, I came across a set of loudspeakers that are as good, if not arguably even better for the same money, and the tragedy is that they've flown under most peoples radar.

So what in the heck am I talking about?

I'm talking about the Polk Audio T50's. A set of compact towers that offer some unique design choices at their $260 (for the pair!) price point. Guys, I gotta admit that I absolutely love these speakers. They do so many freaking things well, and I think they could serve as an excellent conduit for the Hi-Fi journey.

I hate to come across as pandering, but if excellent affordable Hi-Fi gets your juices flowing and if you have a couple minutes to kill, then check out my video review of the T50's!

And here's a link to their website: http://www.polkaudio.com/t50/d/1259

Wow. This is great to see! I had Polk's in the 80's/90's. They always made a great speaker for the money.

I never could take Mathew Polk seriously in that ridiculous white lab coat.

Buwahaha. The infamous lab coat. Man, I miss those SDA's. Here's a shot of the T50's.
