Interesting. This was done in the 2L recording of Polarity - an Acoustic Jazz Project by the Hoff Ensemble. I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the firewood. Knowing 2L, it is there for a very good reason.

p.s. I'm listening at 24/88.2 on the desktop, and it sounds typical for a 2L recording - brilliant. I can't wait to hear it in MQA from the LUMIN in the main room!

Maybe I shouldn't have said source. Are you listening to a MQA encoded cd or streaming from where? Tidal no longer has MQA and Qobuz never did to my knowledge.
Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I stream Qobuz exclusively, and yes, LUMIN does MQA. I noticed years ago that when I went to play something from 2L, it would show normal sample rate and bit depth on the screen but then show MQA 352.8 when playback began. In the LUMIN's "MQA Mode", I have it set to "Full Decode". The options are:

OFF
Full Decode:
LUMIN will do all the decoding and output analogue (Network Music Players only).
Core Decode: LUMIN will perform some of the decoding and output digital.
Passthrough: LUMIN will passthrough the full MQA stream to your DAC.

LUMIN recently added QRONO d2a, which I haven't spent much time exploring yet.

QRONO d2a is an MQA technology that applies filters and noise shapers during digital-to-analogue conversion. With this setting, LUMIN will apply MQA QRONO d2a filters to analogue output of all PCM music.
Applicable to X2 / X1 / P2 / P1 / P1 Mini / T3X / T3 / T2. QRONO d2a will not work over AirPlay
